• Dinant, Here I Come

It is my honour to be invited to (arguably) THE most important saxophone competition in the world which only happens every 4 years. I can’t wait to reunite with old friends and meet new faces from around the world.

It means a lot to me given that I had a slow start on saxophone. Challenges are surely awaiting for me but this is a proof to myself of all the hard work these years.

And once again, HK is represented.

  • Andorra Sax Fest

    Hong Kong is finally represented!

This year, Kam-Fung Fan and I are the first ever Hongkongers to qualify AND actually played in the Andorra International Saxophone Competition. The number of participants is the highest this year and the overall difficulty was arguably the highest as well. We did not make any further at last, there were more challenges than I anticipated: reed changes due to climate, anxiety due to the fact that there were lots of audiences live and also on YouTube, etc. Still I am happy with my performance and I got the first taste of international competitions. I have learnt so much from everyone in this festival.

Nevertheless, Andorra is an amazing country to discover, such a nice place with unique mountain terrain, beautiful views and decent weather. Will definitely plan to be back in the near future.
